Hebei Introduction
Hebei is a province of the People's Republic
of China in the North China region. Its one-character abbreviation
is "冀" (jì), named after Ji Province. It is located
at the economic circle of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. Hebei
is the important industrial bases of coal, steel and textile
productions in China. It is the major agricultural area and
the focus area of producing grain, cotton and oil in the northern
China. Green economy strategy, biotechnology and information
technology are widely used in agricultural industry, thus the
traditional agricultual industry is moving forward to be modern
one.
Hebei's Advantages
Located in the center of the region surrounding
the Baohai Sea, Hebei is an important link for inland provinces
to the sea. Another important reform and opening up area pinpointed
by the central government, the Baohai Sea area is now developing
rapidly.
With two municipalities-Beijing and Tianjin, Hebei is a crucial
link in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Rim, which now boasts
strong economic integration and a high degree of trade openness
among the cities.
