According
to the China’s 12th Five-Year Plan (FYP) released in March 2011,
the Chinese Government attempts to restructure the Chinese economy
by encouraging domestic consumption, developing the service
sector, shifting to higher value-added manufacturing, conserving
energy, and cleaning up the environment. Economically, the Chinese
Government intends to create a “capital loop” involving Beijing,
Tianjin in Hebei Province, in order to boost the development
along the coast in Hebei Province. Since the Chinese Government
has stressed on prioritizing Hebei Province, it definitely helps

As

the estimated budget of US$5 billion.
About
Hebei Province
Hebei Province is located in North China encircling two big
municipalities, Beijing and Tianjin. It is a coastal area along
BoHai Sea and consists of 11 cities. Hebei Province, which surrounds
the capital Beijing, covers a total area of 187,700 square kilometers
and a total population of more than 70 million. With rapid economical
development, the GDP increases 12.2% and reaches 2,000 billion,
which currently rank the sixth in China. Compare with other
provinces in China, Hebei Province currently possesses a relatively
rich labour, land and raw materials resources at low price.
With a convenient transportation network, Hebei Province enjoys
high transport connectivity and has formed a one-hour regional
economic circle via its railway and highway networks.
By the end of 2010, Hebei Province has recorded up to US$12.1
billion of direct investment from Hong Kong, which equals to
39.7% of the total overseas direct investments. Meanwhile, one-third
of the total foreign investing corporation is from Hong Kong,
which equals to 1,189 corporations. Hong Kong is ranked 8th
in the top 10 export market of Hebei Province. There are also
11 listed companies from Hebei Province in Hong Kong.
